"The Church of Turkey invites all Catholics to visit the Pauline places in Aisia Minor" said Monsignor Luigi Padovese, apostolic vicar in Anatolia and president of the Turkish Bishop's Conference.

Pope Benedict has called for 2008 to be a special Pauline year. St Paul was born in Tarsus in present-day Turkey. Consequently our first relationship with the Apostle is geographic. Many events, religious, cultural and ecumenical are planned to take place in Turkey during this special year. See full article in our March 2008 issue
